Chairman's Message

We are now one year into Post Covid after over two years of difficulties. Mussoorie Public School is now back on track in the usual business of imparting quality education offline with all programmes being put back in the School Calendar.

The Principal and faculty had done remarkably well in conducting online classes when it was required and have now efficiently switched gears to offline classes to meet the demands of the changing scenario. All school activities such as debates, sports, music, assembly and many more are now being held, thanks to our dedicated staff. This leads to a good Mussoorie Public School education where each child’s optimum potential is maximized as much as possible. It is also important to acknowledge the efforts of all other staff, who ensure proper maintenance, sanitisation, medical help and upkeep of the School.

In a school, the Principal is in fact not only the overall Head of education but also of Administration, Finance, Stores, and so much more. Running a school is like running a small township and so, it is indeed the role of a person who can fit into all aspects of a CEO. We are confident that our future has been ensured through our Principal, Mrs.Joyeeta Mukherjee, who will take us ahead from strength to strength from where her predecessor signed off.  We can be sure that the School will achieve higher standards.

As mentioned earlier, we have now entered into many other areas of campus activities that will help to expose the children to a wide spectrum of experience and knowledge.  But our greatest achievement perhaps is towards building a positive attitude in our children, so that they have self-esteem and are self-motivated to become worthy citizens of the society they live in and the world they are a part of.

The School today can boast of better hostel accommodation, new laboratory equipment as well as higher teaching standards. Future plans are in place for additional equipment and teaching aids that will help the students and teachers to keep the School globally abreast.

We are almost sure that all our efforts in giving a good education will enable the students to excel in their eventual chosen professions and vocations. We would like to see all our students become leaders in their chosen fields, whether in business or politics, media or sports or as government functionaries and so on, led by strong values and ethics that they would have inculcated in School.

The strength of our alumni gives the School its real reputation.  We hope that our students will forever say, “We studied in MPS, the best school ever” and those who are not our students will say, “We wish we had!”

Best Wishes, Darshan Singh
